Maestro is a set of programs, running on the JPL rovers (Spirit and Opportunity), that make possible the remote operation of the rovers from Earth. Maestro is the MAssive Education and Remote Operation (MAERORO) suite. MAERORO is an acronym for MAssive Education and Remote Operation. MAERORO was developed by Drs. John Brand and Phillip Atchley at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)
